Thanks for coming to
AsiaCrypt 2002
After two years of planning and preparation, the conference has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Everyone who worked to make this a success performed without incident. We are eternally grateful to all those who made AsiaCrypt 2002 a huge success. In the end we had 147 attendees from 21 countries. In the next few days, we will add another feature to this site. This will hold the best of the more than 1,150 photos taken by James Hughes, Spike Quinn, Roland McKenzie and myself during the conference. For those who attended, we hope that you enjoy the photos. We have not deliberately chosen any photos that might embarrass anyone, however, if there are photos that include you that you would like removed, just let us know and it will be done as quickly as we can.
Finally, I would like to publicly thank everyone who supported us by attending and by speaking. I'd also like to publicly thank the many people involved in the mounting of this conference: Bruce and Petrea Barker of Mastertouch Events, Jaysha for providing our entertainment, the staff of the Millennium Hotel for their gracious service, the Security Research Group who provided help in every way throughout the conference, Boog of Te Matarua O Matamata for creating the gift and for taking his time and bringing his friends to demonstrate the Maori weapons, Aaron and his group from the Queenstown Maori Concert & Feast for performing the powhiri and finally Walker Wireless for sponsoring us and for providing the wireless network that served everyone so silently, efficiently and reliably.
