General Stipends
A limited number of stipends are available to students.
Preference will be given to those who are presenting papers
at the conference. To apply for a stipend, please have your
advisor or department chair to email a brief justification
to the General Chair or Program Chair by 1 October 2007.
Stipend requests may also be considered from non-student
authors of accepted papers who are unable to obtain adequate
funding, and from students who are not paper authors.
Local Stipends
1. For Local Researchers
The Sarawak state government has sponsored a huge sum of
funding which is now being allocated to encourage and
support Malaysian researchers from local institutions to
participate at the Asiacrypt 2007 conference. This financial
support will cover half of the registration fees; and up to
RM700 reimbursement upon check-in at the registration desk
during the conference, meant to partially support travelling
and accommodation expenses. To apply for this stipend,
please have your department chair to email a brief
justification to the General Chair by 31 August 2007.
2. For Local Students
The IACR has awarded a special grant to support attendance
at the Asiacrypt 2007 conference by local students who are
otherwise unable to obtain adequate funding. To apply for
this stipend, please have your advisor or department chair
to email a brief justification to the General Chair by 31
August 2007.
