The Pulkovskaya Hotel

We reserved a Conference Hall for the EUROCRYPT 2006 sessions; a restaurant for lunch and a block of rooms at the Pulkovskaya Hotel, located at Victory Square, 1 in Saint Petersburg, Russia (see the map ).

The discounted rates for these rooms are $130/night for a single room and $160/night for a double room.

These rates include a breakfast buffet and VAT (18%).

The Pulkovskaya Hotel provides EUROCRYPT 2006 attendees with the rooms on the same rates for several nights before and after the conference, if the room reservation will be made before May 15.

EUROCRYPT 2006 attendees are registered in Pulkovskaya Hotel as members of a tourist group called EUR 290506.

To get these rates, you must make your room reservation by the IACR registration server or by the RusCrypto server for EUROCRYPT 2006.

If you use the last one of the two servers to make your request and you are not IACR member, but an accompanying person you should refer to IACR # of your companion attendee.

If you do not want to book a room on your name, you just fill the field "I share a room with" with the name of your companion attendee.

From the May 4, 2006 the Pulkovskaya Hotel is now Park Inn Pulkovskaya and is a member of Rezidor SAS Hospitality chain.

So, if you have any problem with your room reservation or any other hotel service you can address directly up to SAS Group.

If you need a visa to enter Russia, and you are going to stay at the conference hotel, you can fill in the invitation request form during your registration at the IACR registration server or at the RusCrypto server.

Other options

EUROCRYPT 2006 made some special arrangements with several local travel agencies.

These accommodation options for the EUROCRYPT 2006 attendees are available on a first-come first-serve basis at the following hotels.

A three star Okhtinskaya Hotel provides a limited number of rooms for the EUROCRYPT 2006 attendees on $70/night for a single room and $79/night for a double room. These rates are valid for the period of time May 28 - June 1, and include breakfast buffet and VAT (18%).

For several nights before and several nights after this period of time agency guarantees that the rates will be the same, but room availability could be less than 100%.

Take in account that the period of time after May 15 is a high tourist season in Saint Petersburg and most of the local hotels are booked.

To get theses rates, you must contact the local travel agency Welt (info@spb.welt.ru) and refer to EUROCRYPT 2006 no later than May 18.

It takes about 35 - 40 minutes to get to the conference venue from the Okhtinskaya Hotel by the public transportation of Saint Petersburg (and about $1 for a one-way trip).

Rooms are also available at the three star Hotel Russia not far from the Pulkovskaya Hotel (a single subway stop, that takes 2-3 minutes, and two easy walks for 5 minutes before and 10 minutes after the subway trip) at $100/night for a standard single room, and $108/night for a single room updated, and $129/night for a double twin room (a room with two separate beds) that could be shared by two roommates.

These rates are valid for the period of time May 28 - June 1, and include visa support, breakfast buffet and VAT (18%).

To get theses rates, you must contact the local travel agency Favorit-Travel (tour@favorit.spb.ru) no later than May 18 and refer to EUROCRYPT 2006.

This travel agency also provides a limited number of rooms for the EUROCRYPT 2006 attendees on $82/night for a single room and $86/night for a double twin room at the Sovetskaya Hotel.

These rates are valid for May 26 - June1 period, and include breakfast buffet and VAT (18%).

It takes about 10 - 12 minutes to get to the conference venue from the Sovetskaya Hotel by the subway of Saint Petersburg and two easy walks for 15 minutes before and 10 minutes after (and about $ 0.5 for a one-way trip).

Through contact with another local travel agency BaltExpress (hotel@betours.spb.ru) you can get a strictly limited number of standard single rooms at the Hotel Russia at the rate of $95/night, but with separate charge for a visa support of $14.

You also can get a limited number of twin rooms at the local chain of the Rinaldi mini-hotels not far from the Pulkovskaya Hotel.

The rates are from $68/night to $77/night for a twin room for a single occupant and from $86/night to $95/night for a twin room for two occupants. Separate charge for a visa support is of $14.

These rates are valid for the period of time May 27 - June1, and include visa support, breakfast buffet and VAT (18%).
