Crypto 2002 is the 22nd international conference on cryptology held at
the University of California, Santa Barbara. The academic program
covers all aspects of cryptology. The preliminary program shows the
schedule of technical presentations, invited talks, and social events. Formal proceedings, published by Springer-Verlag, will be
provided to all registered attendees at the conference.
Crypto 2002 is organized by the International Association for
Cryptologic Research (IACR), in cooperation with the IEEE Computer
Society Technical Committee on Security and Privacy, and the Computer
Science Department of the University of California, Santa Barbara. The
Program Chair is Moti Yung , and the General Chair is Rebecca Wright.
In addition to selected and invited papers, there will be a Rump
Session on Tuesday evening for selected informal
presentations. Facilities are available for attendees to demonstrate
hardware, software, and other items of cryptologic interest. If you
are interested, please contact the General Chair by July 1.
The social program will include a catered reception on Sunday evening
during registration, dinner receptions on Monday and Tuesday evenings,
and a beach barbecue on Wednesday evening. Breakfasts and lunches will
be served at the university dining hall.
For packing purposes please note the following:
- We are working to provide a wireless Internet connection for use by
conference attendees at Campbell Hall. To use it, you'll need a
laptop with an 802.11b wireless LAN card.
- We hope to have an informal softball game on Tuesday afternoon,
suitable for all levels. If you are interested, bring your glove.
Contact Josh Benaloh at secretary(at)iacr.org for details.
(We will also have the usual informal soccer game.)
- The conference gift this year will be a light jacket rather than a
T-shirt. Complain if you must, but don't say you weren't warned.
