Airports

Warsaw has two international airports: the Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) and the Warsaw–Modlin Airport (WMI).  The Chopin airport is much larger than the Modlin airport and is located closer to the city center. The Modlin airport is used almost entirely by the low-fare airlines. Most of the conference participants will probably land at the Chopin airport.

Getting from the Chopin airport to the conference venue

The distance from the Chopin airport to the Sheraton Hotel is around 10 km.

Taxi is by far the simplest way to get from the Chopin airport to the hotel. The cost is approximately 40 PLN (55 PLN on Sunday or after 10pm). Choose a taxi from the "official taxi stand" in front of the airport arrivals (it looks like this).

You an also take the 175 bus (19 stops, around 27 min.). Get off at the Krucza stop and walk to the hotel.

Yet another option (not recommended) is to take the S2 train. Get off at the Powiśle station and walk to the hotel.

Getting from the Warsaw-Modlin airport to the conference venue

The distance from the Chopin airport to the Sheraton Hotel is around 40 km.

A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs 159 PLN. You can also take the Modlin Bus that arrives to Plac Defilad. From there you can either walk or take a tram/bus.

Train stations

The main train station in Warsaw is "Warszawa Centralna" (Warsaw Central Station). The distance from the Central Station to the Sheraton Hotel is around 2 km

You can either walk or take a tram/bus. In case you take a taxi, pay attention to choose one from some major taxi corporation (e.g.: Sawa, MPT, Vofra, Ele, Super). The price should for this trip should be around 20 PLN.
