The banquet takes place on Wednesday evening in the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street (Map). On leaving the hotel, turn left and go down to Princes Street. Turn left along Princes Street, cross the road and walk along beside the gardens as far as the National Gallery of Scotland. Turn right here and go up the Mound, passed the Bank of Scotland, cross the Royal Mile (i.e. the High Street, close to St. Giles High Kirk) and turn left into Chambers Street. (Total distance approx 1 mile.)
